The Moorings is located in the picturesque Isle of Whithorn which received Scottish Community of the Year Award for two years in succession. A traditional stone house dating back to the eighteenth century this comfortable furnished home overlooking the picturesque harbour is the perfect place from which to explore all that this part of Galloway has to offer.
With it's stunning coastline, sandy beaches, unspoilt countryside and views out to sea, the area is also rich in history. Visitors can either enjoy a relaxing holiday drinking in their surroundings or can take part in some of the many pursuits available which include walking, biking, golf, climbing, sailing, driving, fishing, bird watching, hunting and archaeology. The area is also perfect for star-gazing, having some of the darkest skies in Europe.
