Situated in a peaceful rural location just a few minutes drive from the historic town of Coldstream in the Scottish Borders, this lovely cottage offers comfortable and homely accommodation for up to 9 people, and with its versatile facilities is suitable for either family groups, couples or singles. The cottage has pretty gardens to both front and rear, and a lovely patio area leading from the lounge, where you can sit and take in the impressive long distance views over the surrounding countryside towards the Cheviot hills. The small town of Coldstream is just two and a half miles from the cottage and offers a selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes where you can dine out, as well as having some interesting shops and visitor attractions including the Coldstream Guards Museum. This is a great area for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling and horseriding, with many footpaths and other byways in the local area and the Cheviot Hills not far away. The nearby River Tweed is one of Scotland's great Salmon and Trout rivers, and a must fish for any keen angler during a stay in this part of the world. The cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the Borders region and Northumberland Heritage Coast, with Berwick upon Tweed and Holy Island only half an hour's drive, and a day trip to Edinburgh being easily achievable.
