Situated only 16 miles from the rugged Moray coast, with its many coastal walks, sandy beaches and its charming old fishing villages, Woodside Bothy, originally a farm workers home was renovated to a high standard a few years ago, it is now a comfortable and well presented single storey detached cottage set on the owners dairy farm in beautiful and peaceful countryside. The living area with its high ceilings and large windows make the spacious open plan living area with its bright, fresh space and the open fire adds a cosy feel on the wetter summer days! Found in the North of East of Scotland near the fishing port of Peterhead and only 30 miles from Aberdeen with its bustling city atmoshere, 8000 years of history, nightlife and recently opened Union square with over 60 shops and restaurants. Also on the edge of the Grampian Whisky Trail and with 8 distilleries all within a 30 mile radius, the glenfiddich Distillery that was started in 1887 and easily within an easy days journey of Royal Deeeside you might be surprised at what a varied and interesting part of Scotland this is. This delightful holiday cottge overlooks rolling hills and the odd cow from the farm and as this is a working farm children under 14 are ruled out from a safety point of view but older children will be easily entertained in the area with Aden Country Park with its agricultural museum and wildlife park only nine miles away. The local inn is 4 miles from the cottage in the village of New Deer, also with a shop and Post office. The town of Turriff (about 11 mile away) offers a larger supermarket and a wider choice of restaurants and bars.
