This is a lovely holiday cottage, all at ground floor level and beautifully furnished. Tomintoul, the highest village in the Scottish Highlands, is a pretty village which is surrounded by mountains and forests. Indeed there are over 100 miles of waymarked trails, offering a walker’s paradise.

Being only a 10 minute drive from the Lecht Ski Centre, Grant Cottage is within the Cairngorms National Park, offering a host of activities from horse-riding to white water rafting, from wildlife watching to fishing. There are an abundance of golf courses, castle trails and not forgetting, the world famous Malt Whisky Trail.

The beautiful Moray Coast with its myriad unspoilt beaches is a short drive away and along the coastline, you can catch a glimpse of dolphins. Inland, Balmoral and Braemar Castle are worth visiting as is the lovely Ballindalloch Castle, one of the most stunning historic buildings in Speyside.

For bird-lovers, the Osprey Centre at nearby Boat of Garten is worth visiting as is the Huntly Falconry Centre.
Other wildlife to see are Buzzards, Red and Roe Deer, Red Squirrels and Pinemartens.

All this, makes this holiday cottage a truly wonderful place to enjoy the Cairngorms.
