Close to the pebble beach in the beautiful fishing village of Pennan on the Banffshire coast, a wildlfie lover's paradise, you will find this former fisherman's cottage. It is presented end on to the shore and is only a stone's throw from The Pennan Inn, the cosy local pub which also serves good food. Furnished and decorated to provide a holiday home with character, it has sea views from the first and second floors and exposed beams in the open plan living area. It is the ideal location from which to explore the tourist attractions in the area including the Whisky and Castle trails, stunning scenery and is an excellent base for bird watching, whale watching and dolphin spotting or just walking among the many sandy coves. The village of Pennan, known as the setting for the hit film Local Hero, where the famous red telephone box can still be found and is now a listed building, is still used by the local fishing boats and the spectacular entry to the village will leave a lasting impression as you descend to the sea front with the Moray Firth in full view. The Banffshire coast in the north east of Scotland is known as Scotland's dolphin coast, a place of undisturbed natural beauty. The Macduff Marine Aquarium is one of Banffshire's most popular visitor attractions. It's living kelp reef is the only one of its kind in Britain and it has a number of innovative exhibits, visitors can come face to face with hundreds of native fish and intertebrates normally seen only by scuba divers. While you are guaranteed to see a rich natural environment. Both Banff and Macduff have good shopping facilities with several golf courses in the locality whilst Duff House, part of the National Gallery of Scotland, has lovely walks in the grounds. Restaurants are many and varied, from pubs to luxury hotels but the fresh fish landed in Banff and purchased on the key sides takes some beating.
