Just 20 miles north of Gairloch and 44 miles from Ullapool, comfortably furnished and completely self contained with its own front door, the cottage adjoins the owners' house and has distant views across to the high mountains of An Teallach and stands in a remote scattering of croft-houses in a genuine peaceful Highland community. You can explore the outstandingly scenery, visit dramatic landscapes and walk the fine beaches while watching seals, possibly otters, and a myriad of seabirds, fish for trout in a nearby loch, take sea fishing trips from Gairloch or a tourist trip to the Summer Isles. From the bustling fishing port of Ullapool you can take a boat trip to Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides and Ullapool itself is worth a visit, with many lively Bars and restaurants on offer. Other memorable places to visit are the Gairloch Heritage Centre, the breathtaking Corrieshalloch Gorge and only 10 miles away the famous Inverewe Gardens. Various other activities include pony trekking, golf and a Leisure Centre in Gairloch and swimming in Poolewe not to mention the many Mountain and coastal walks that are easily accessible. There is a post office and small shop at Laide and a Minimarket, butcher, bar and restaurant at Aultbea (5miles).
