A charming detached holiday cottage located on the hills above the village of Drumnadrochit on Loch Ness. It has spectacular views of the world famous Loch and it’s owners have taken great care to offer their guests a comfortable cottage filled with character. The living room has a real fire to cuddle up in front of on those colder nights and has restored stone walls, a wood clad ceiling and wooden panelling, which all add up to a cosy relaxing feel which carries on through out the house with fantastic views of the Loch from the first floor rooms.
Located 2 miles from the village of Drumnadrochit, pronounced just as it looks (Drum–nah–drok-it) . It offers a couple of shops, a post office and a selection of restaurants and bars including the award winning Fiddlers Malt Whisky Bar which boasts over 600 bottles of Whisky to sample and serves great local food. Boat trips, pony trekking and fishing are all available locally as well as forest walks, mountain climbs and the beautiful Glen Affric is only a 20 minute drive away. It's central location means that Skye, the Cairngorm National Park and the rugged West and North coast of Scotland are all easily only a day trip away from here. The City of Inverness (13 miles) has a theatre, aqua dome and large selection of restaurants. There are pretty walks along the River Ness passing its Cathedral.
