Craigellachie Cottage is a very pretty, cosy country cottage situated near the village of Cawdor, 6 miles from coastal town of Nairn with its lovely links golf courses and 10 miles from Inverness the capital of the Highlands and of course Loch Ness.
The cottage has recently been restored and refurbished to a very high standard incorporating all the modern conveniences whilst retaining its 19th century character. Enjoy a glass of wine in the cosy sitting room in front of the wood burning stove prior to cooking up a tasty meal in the newly refurbished kitchen, equipped with quality appliances and crockery. Or alternatively, weather permitting have a barbecue. The owners have very thoughtfully provided a barbeque which allows you to dine out alfresco.
The two double bedrooms again have been tastefully decorated. One of the rooms has a kingsize bed whilst the other is a twin bedded room. The shower room is spacious, bright and has been fitted with a double shower. All rooms at the cottage have oil central heating.
From this charming, newly whitewashed cottage you can enjoy uninterrupted, and breathtaking views looking out over rolling fields towards the River Nairn. Situated in a quiet hamlet it is also surrounded by fantastic forest and woodland walks. 3 miles away is the Cawdor Tavern which is a quaint country pub (with a welcoming open fire in the winter) serving good seasonal food in warm friendly surroundings.
