Situated in the village of Lowick, and within easy walking distance of the village shop and 2 pubs serving food, this is a comfortable and convenient property suitable for both couples and families. The modern kitchen is very well-equipped and French doors lead from the lounge/diner to the south facing garden and patio area, which is perfect for al fresco dining in good weather.
This delightful 19c terraced cottage, located just 5 miiles inland from Northumberland's Heritage Coast and directly opposite Holy Island, provides an excellent base from which to explore Northumberland. The historic walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is just 8 miles away, whilst Alnwick Castle, made famous in the Harry Potter films, and the impressive Alnwick Garden are only 20 minutes drive. Also popular with families in particular are the fine, sandy beaches nearby at Bamburgh and Seahouses. Keen walkers will find plenty of scenic walks in the nearby Cheviot Hills, and the famous 63 mile St Cuthbert's Way from Melrose to Holy Island passes nearby. An hour's train journey from Berwick will take you to Edinburgh with its wealth of tourist attractions..
