Melkington, Cheviots, Northumberland.  Property 10612

Weekly bookings Saturday to Saturday.
Melkington Lodge has been superbly refurbished to a very high standard . The Lodge commands lovely views over the surrounding countryside with the Cheviots prominent in the near distance. All on a single floor the Lodge has a superbly equipped and very spacious kitchen with a double oven, a large sitting room and two bedrooms, one double and one en suite twin. In addition there is a second bathroom, a utility room and a garden with patio furniture and barbeque which overlooks the surrounding countryside. This area of Northumberland is rich in history and ripe for exploration. Berwick and the coast are only 10 miles away whilst the Cheviots are a haven for walkers. Cyclists will enjoy the empty roads and Melkington Lodge has stabling available for anyone wishing to bring their horses. Kimmerston Riding Centre is available for those who want to hire. Further afield there are endless castles to visit Traquair, Bamburgh and the ruins at Dunstanburgh are all excellent, whilst Flodden Field is nearby and the large town of Berwick barely 10 miles down the road with all the facilities you would expect. The golf course at Goswick near Berwick is a personal favourite.
