Situated within the conservation area of Tweedmouth, overlooking the mouth of the River Tweed and Berwick harbour, this charming townhouse occupies a wonderful position, with views of the sea and the old ramparts of Berwick Upon Tweed across the river mouth. Seascape offers very comfortable accommodation over three floors and is only 5 minutes walk across the old stone bridge to the restaurant centre of Berwick Upon Tweed itself. The village of Tweedmouth has shops, takeaways and a seafood restaurant, and is an ideal location from which to explore the beautiful Heritage Coastline of Northumberland. Frequent trains to either Edinburgh (45 mins) or Newcastle upon Tyne (45 mins) offer a day out further afield, however close by there is plenty to wet your exploring appetite. Berwick itself has the Elizabethan ramparts which surround the town that you can walk around as well as a twice weekly market on its cobbled street. The surrounding area is rich in cultural heritage with a choice of castles to visit - Bamburgh, Lindisfarne on Holy Island, Dunstanburgh, Warkworth and Alnwick Castle (used in the filming of Harry Potter) are dotted along the coastline with sandy beaches and cliff top walks to enjoy, whilst inland there are undulating countryside walks with historic houses like Abbotsford and Paxton, abbeys and fortifications of which there are plenty to see. The area is rich in wildlife and a haven for bird watching.
