In a peaceful location on the edge of the village of Dalton, this Tourist Board 4 star property is a well appointed and spacious single storey cottage. It own garden and views over open fields. The cottage has an attractive open fire in its comfortably furnished lounge and a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. The pretty village of Dalton is located mid-way between the two historic towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle, giving easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors as well as the North Pennines and Lake District. Outdoor enthusiasts will not be lacking in opportunities around here, with several good walking and cycling routes nearby - including the Teesdale Way which offers some excellent walks - one passing the spectacular High Force waterfall which is not to be missed when staying in this area. Meanwhile, those interested in history will be spoilt for choice of places to visit: Barnard Castle is a beautiful town to visit and is home to the Bowes Museum, the Castle itself, Egglestone Abbey and Rokeby Hall whilst Richmond is a town steeped in history with sites such as Richmond Castle, The Georgian Theatre,The Green Howards Museum and Easby Abbey.
