This characterful stone cottage provides comfortable holiday accommodation for couples or a family in the quiet Arkengarthdale village of Langthwaite, well known from its appearances in the TV series 'All Creatures Great & Small'. The cottage has been sympathetically restored to retain many of its original features, including flagged floors, exposed stonework and beamed ceilings and is simply but cosily furnished to complement this, yet has the benefit of up to date bathroom and kitchen facilities.
The Red Lion Inn is just a minutes walk from the cottage, and the CB Inn, well known locally for its restaurant, is half a mile away. For those who enjoy taking their refreshments out in the wilds, a visit to the Tan Hill Inn, Britain's highest pub, and only 25 minutes scenic drive up the dale, is a must.
Langthwaite is a great place to stay for outdoor enthusiasts, with many good walks in the area and quiet lanes along which to cycle, whilst nearby Reeth offers a mountain biking centre as well as a selection of shops, pubs and cafes. Horseriding is also available locally.
