Situated in a tranquil location a mile and a half from the small Pennine town of Hebden Bridge, this delightful two bedroomed cottage has been sympathetically restored in recent years to retain original features such as beamed ceilings and an open fireplace with cosy woodburner, as well as offering extra sleeping accommodation in its attractive converted attic. The pretty terraced garden to the rear of the cottage has an elevated patio and barbeque area where you can enjoy lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Hebden Bridge is a truly unique town surrounded by sweeping hills and open countryside. It has a good range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and is widely known for having the sort of cosmopolitan atmosphere usually found only in larger towns. The cottage is right on the doorstep of Hardcastle Crags, a beautiful National Trust-owned wooded area incredibly popular with walkers and ramblers, and which has guided walks and other activities throughout the year. The local area boasts countless rights of way, footpaths and bridleways that pass through dramatic and varied scenery. The Pennine way passes very close by and the Calderdale Way, a 50 mile circular route around the Calder Valley, passes within 50m of the cottage.
The cottage is well placed as a base for touring the Pennines and Yorkshire Dales area. Great places to visit on a day out from here include the Bronte Museum at Haworth, the Keighley & Worth Valley Steam Railway, Eureka! Children's Museum in Halifax and Shibden Hall & Park.

Note: bunk bedded room is very compact.
