Set in the heart of Wensleydale in the pretty Dales village of Askrigg, made famous in the TV programme 'All Creatures Great and Small', this semi detatched stone cottage is tastefully furnished in cottage style with beamed features and a multi-fuel stove ensuring a warm welcome at any time of the year. There is a small patio area with barbecue and patio furniture for relaxing and al fresco dining on warm summer days. Askrigg is centrally situated for exploring the whole of the Dales and footpaths and country walks begin straight from the doorstep. The market town of Hawes, famous for its Wensleydale cheese is approximately 5 miles away and Leyburn with its variety of shops, pubs and tea rooms is approximately 10 miles. The spectacular Aysgarth Falls and Hardraw Force, Castle Bolton and Middleham Castle are all within easy reach and a little further afield the market town of Richmond with its medieval castle, Georgian Little Theatre and market square is well worth a visit. After a busy day's exploring the village pub is within easy walking distance serving excellent food. There is private parking to the side of the property.

~ Dry stone walling lessons or the opportunity to observe a wall being built available locally, please ask the owner for more details. A half day session can be booked for £105 or a full day session for £200 (with a picnic lunch included).
