This lovely single storey holiday cottage is set in the pretty village of Buttercrambe. The cottage is well furnished and has been renovated to a very high standard retaining much of its character, with good wheelchair accessibility, beamed ceilings and an open fire set in a stunning fireplace. The interior of the double bedroom and lounge is finished to an extremely high standard, with French windows in the bedroom and lounge opening out onto a very picturesque small enclosed garden and views out onto the paddock with 3 sheep, 8 hens and a pony! Beyond is countryside and woods which makes this cottage a very peaceful and romantic get away. The gentle hills make it an ideal area for both walking and cycling with the Yorkshire Wolds Way nearby.

The holiday cottage is ideally situated as a base for visiting York and the resorts of the Yorkshire Coast for those of you who enjoy a day out at the Seaside. The North York Moors railway based in the market town of Pickering just 20 miles away is the gateway to The North Yorkshire Moors. It offers 18 miles of steam railway running through spectacular moorland scenery and travels to Goathland or “Heartbeat” country.

The City of York is within 10 miles and can be easily accessed by park and ride schemes. Highlights include the majestic York Minster, The Jorvik Viking Centre, York Castle Museum and The National Railway Museum. There are fabulous shopping and restaurants to visit aswell as enjoying the Minster Quarter or why not go on a ghost walk in the evening. On the outskirts is the Designer Outlet shopping centre or take the opportunity to go to one of York Racecourses prestigious events.
