Converted from an old stable, this cosy and compact holiday cottage has bags of character with its exposed timbers, sloping ceilings and gallery bedroom. Tastefully and comfortably furnished, it is the perfect holiday hideaway for a couple looking to enjoy exploring the North York Moors. The cottage is situated in the pretty village of Wombleton, conveniently located midway between the market towns of Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside with their array of shops, pubs and cafes. There is also a pub which serves food just a couple of minutes walk from the cottage and a farm shop and tearoom a few minutes drive up the road.
There are lots of interesting places to visit in this area, including Rievaulx Abbey, Helmsley Castle and Duncombe Park. Keen walkers are spoilt for choice, with the Cleveland Way long distance footpath starting nearby, and many memorable walks to be discovered on the beautiful heather covered moors of the North York Moors National Park. The Yorkshire Coast, Castle Howard and the historic city of York are less than an hour's drive away, and great places to head for on a day trip.
