This is a splendid Victorian Grade II listed mansion house which has been converted into spacious apartments. This first floor apartment has fantastic views of the sea and headland, and it's three bedrooms provide an ideal family holiday home which is within a few minute's walk of the spectacular sandy beach and restored pier. The town has shops, pubs, tea shops and restaurants as well as a new art project with gallery for local artists. There are Italian Gardens to stroll through, a miniature railway, woodland centre with a year round orienteering course and information on the Cleveland Way and cliff top walks. The expanse of sandy beach and rolling waves provide an excellent play ground for surfing, walking and swimming not to mention sand castles and the apartment provides a tastefully furnished and very comfortable retreat after a busy day. Just a little further down the coast you can discover the fishing villages of Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby or enjoy a day out on the North York Moors Steam Railway.
