Located in a pleasant rural setting just 3 miles outside the pretty village of Thornton le Dale, and 5 miles from the market town of Pickering, on the edge of the North York Moors, this compact single storey cottage offers comfortable and well-equipped holiday accommodation. The cottage has its own fully enclosed lawned garden and furnished patio area, an ideal spot for holidaymakers to relax in on a nice Summer's day. There are plenty of facilities available in the local area, with both Thornton le Dale and Pickering having a good selection of cafes and pubs and some interesting shops to browse around. The cottage is very well situated as a base for exploring this beautiful area of North Yorkshire; almost on the doorstep is the magnificent moorland scenery of the North York Moors National Park whilst Dalby Forest, with its internationally recognised mountain bike centre and forest trails, is just 6 miles away, and the seaside resorts of Scarborough and Filey within half an hour's drive. The popular TV village of Goathland, and the fishing port of Whitby, with its quaint cobbled streets and distinctive Abbey are well worth a visit, and slightly further afield the historic city of York, with its wealth of visitor attractions, should not be missed whilst on holiday in this area.
