Located in the historic village of Hunmanby just 4 miles from the coastal resort of Filey and 9 miles from Scarborough, this characterful traditional cottage offers cosy and comfortable holiday accommodation for family groups or couples. The cottage has a compact but pretty lawned garden and patio area which is a real suntrap and a lovely place to relax in on warmer days, whilst there is a welcoming multifuel stove in the lounge by which you can toast your feet on chilly evenings. Amenities in Hunmanby village include shops, pubs and takeaways as well as a golf course, tennis courts and gym. The wider local area offers plenty of other attractions for holidaymakers; Walking enthusiasts are well-catered for with the Wolds Way and Cleveland Way long-distance footpaths passing nearby, and the North York Moors National Park with its spectacular moorland walks within half an hour's drive.

Keen surfers can practice their sport at Cayton Bay, which has its own surf centre and is only 7 miles away. Meanwhile nature enthusiasts should not be disappointed by a visit to the renowned bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs only 6 miles away. As well as the miles of lovely sandy beach for children to play on at Filey and neighbouring resorts, there are other excellent family attractions not far away. The Sea Life Centre and the Seal Rescue Centre at Scarborough are well worth a visit, and Flamingo Land theme park and zoo, just over half an hour's drive, is also a good family day out. A little further afield, the impressive stately home of Castle Howard, and the City of York, with its wealth of historical buildings - including the magnificent Gothic Minster - as well as museums and interesting shops, should not be missed on a holiday in this area.
