Located at the end of a small terrace overlooking a local green in the small market town of Helmsley, this attractive Yorkshire stone cottage offers comfortable and well equipped holiday accommodation suitable for either family groups, couples or singles. Having pretty and well maintained gardens to both front and rear, this lovely cottage has plenty of outdoor relaxation space, and as the back garden is fully enclosed it the perfect place for young children to play safely. Although in a quiet area of the town, the cottage is very conveniently placed, just 5 minutes walk from the town square and an impressive array of interesting shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. Within Helmsley there are also attractions such as the walled garden, the ruined castle and a leisure spa where you can treat yourself to a day of pampering, whilst just outside is Duncombe Park, the ancestral home of the Feversham family.
Helmsley is ideally placed, on the southern boundary of the North York Moors National Park, for exploring not only the magnificent moors countryside but also surrounding attractions including Rievaulx Abbey, the North York Moors steam railway at Pickering, Flamingo Land and Castle Howard. Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood's Bay on the Yorkshire coast are only half an hour's drive away from the cottage, and the historic city of York with its impressive gothic Minster, nationally renowned Yorvik Museum and quaint shopping streets is not to be missed when you're staying in this area.
