Higham, Lancashire, Lancashire. Property 10534
As one of the oldest buildings in Higham this cottage is steeped in history. Originally used as the local gaol it has now been fully modernised but still retains a great deal of the original character with exposed beams, stone mullions, low doorways and inset candle shelves.
Very comfortably furnished with some period furniture the cottage enjoys a peaceful position in the centre of the village.
Higham is just 2 miles from Sabden, famous for its association with the Pendle Witches, and is therefore an ideal base for walkers with plenty of excellent walks throughout the area, including to the top of Pendle Hill. For the tourist it is well situated for easy access to Burnley, the Ribble Valley and the West Coast.
Ground floor - lounge, dining kitchen, snug and larder. First floor - 2 bedrooms - 1 double and 1 twin, bathroom with toilet and basin.
Gas fire in lounge, full central heating - all fuel and power is included in the rent. Cot, high chair, colour T.V., DVD player, gas-fired Rayburn, electric cooker, radio, automatic washing machine. Bed linen and towels are included. Garden with garden furniture. Street parking. 1 pet by arrangement please.
