Pendleton, Trough of Bowland, Lancashire.  Property 12676

Weekly bookings start on a Saturday.
Tucked away under Pendle Hill lies this small cottage converted from a previous farm building brimming with character and personality. Set up a rough track and over a ford it is perfect for a quiet escape for 2 with walks from the door yet Clitheroe barely 3 miles away with all the facilities of a market town. The cottage itself is warm and cosy (with under floor downstairs heating) with lovely views over the open countryside.
The pretty village of Pendleton has both a pub (serving good food) and a stream running down it. A public bridleway runs next to the property and leads on to Pendle Hill whilst further afield there is much to explore within the Ribble Valley either by foot or on a bike. Clitheroe is an interesting town with a beautiful castle set on a rocky outcrop as its centrepiece but also has interesting shops, a supermarket and a great choice of places to eat and drink. Further afield the Forest of Bowland has some excellent walking country and the Dales are barely ½ an hour drive distance.

Shop 3 miles. Pub 300 yards. Restaurant 3 miles. Beach 35 miles.
