Downham itself is a very attractive village which was used in the filming of the TV series Born and Bred, and is just 6 miles from the Ribble Valley market town of Clitheroe making it an ideal base for touring throughout East and North Lancashire. With Pendle Hill on the doorstep walkers will also enjoy the variety of walks which are available throughout the local area.
