Dog Friendly Holiday Cottages
We have 319 dog friendly self catering holiday cottages throughout the UK that welcome one or more pets.
Anyone who has a dog knows that he or she is an important member of the family, and when you take a self catering holiday there is no need to leave your 'best friend' at home or in expensive boarding kennels. Most of us hate the idea of leaving pets behind, some dogs will grieve for the entire holiday and sulk (or punish you!) for days when you return. So why not just take them with you.

Imagine UK have many dog friendly self catering holiday cottages throughout the country that welcome one or more pets. When making your property search just select ‘Yes’ on the drop down for pets and all the properties listed will accept your doggy friend.
Visiting a pet friendly cottage can be a perfect holiday for both you and your pet, some are situated close to superb dog friendly beaches, cliff walks, woods or fields so you'll have plenty of new places to walk and explore together. Many of our holiday cottages are in excellent walking areas. We have a great selection of self catering cottages in the Yorkshire Dales which is a well known area for outdoors and walking. Holiday cottages near the Yorkshire coast have access to some wonderful open sandy beaches, some have restricted areas during the summer months but there are great stretches where dogs are welcome all year round. For more open spaces why not choose a holiday cottage in Scotland? In fact wherever you want to holiday there should be a place where your dog will be welcome.
Many holiday cottage owners who welcome pets will have experience of keeping pets themselves. They may even have additional facilities for them. Often they will be able to advise you about the best local places to walk your dog and of a suitable vet in case of emergency.
There are a few ‘do’s and don'ts’ for a dog friendly holiday. Dogs are generally used to travelling in cars and can be taken on holiday without too much bother, just make sure they have enough drinking water and you make enough stops for your pet. Keep them well exercised and don't simply go off leaving them for lengthy periods while you visit local attractions. Dogs should always be kept on a lead in public places unless you have been advised otherwise. And please remember to 'scoop' the poop! Hopefully, if we ALL keep our dogs under control and remember to clean up after them, more places would permit dogs inside.
