Weekly bookings start on a Saturday

This well appointed and conveniently situated ground floor cottage is located just off the market square in the town of Kirkby Stephen, only a stonesthrow from pubs, restaurants and shops, as well as a holisitic health spa where you can enjoy a day being pampered. With original beams and a slate tiled floor in its spacious open plan lounge and dining area the cottage has plenty of character and offers very comfortable holiday accommodation for two people. Situated in the pretty Eden Valley, Kirkby Stephen is in the heart of spectacular countryside with miles of footpaths and bridleways. There are recognised trails and walks of various lengths enabling hikers, bikers and horseriders to explore the local area, whilst Wainwright's famous coast-to-coast route crosses the surrounding fells and passes through Kirkby Stephen. There are also excellent paragliding and fishing facilities available locally. The cottage makes an ideal base for touring the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District by car, with attractions such as Tan Hill Inn - the highest pub in England, the Wensleydale Cheese Factory at Hawes, and Lake Ullswater only half an hour's drive away, and the higher Lakes and the Scottish Border country not much more than an hour. No visit to this area would be complete without a trip on the famous Settle to Carlisle railway, a true feat of Victorian engineering which winds its way across the fells and valleys in spectacular fashion.
